Nicola Forshaw

Nicola Forshaw is a BACP accredited counselling psychotherapist who specialises in psychological trauma, grief and loss, and has previously held NHS roles in Eating Disorder and Personality Disorder services.

Nicola has experience of teaching within many fields, including further & higher education, NHS and private settings. Having previously lectured on the Masters Programmes in counselling and psychotherapy at Keele & Chester Universities, she has an academic research interest in vicarious trauma, post-traumatic growth and resilience.

During the Covid-19 crisis, Nicola has been called upon to consult with NHS Trusts and Deaneries to advise on the emotional impact upon NHS frontline staff, and has produced an evolving  programme of support, which is freely available for all to access.

Nicola’s coaching training  programmes are externally endorsed by ILM, and as a result Nicola consults with organisations around occupational health and wellbeing, as an advisor on coaching, leadership and resilience. If you are an organisation seeking to develop healthier, emotionally intelligent and resilient workspaces, Nicola can advise on bespoke packages of support.
