About the Event
The challenges of Covid-19 have stretched us at every level: lockdown, isolation, fear, grief, trauma and loss. As healthcare professionals facing these challenges in our own lives, whilst caring for others, how do we manage to keep going and bounce back from such adversity?
This innovative workshop brings body and mind together to help us to cultivate our inner resilience and raise our energy levels. We teach you about risk factors and facilitate your self-reflection and experiential learning to banish burnout.This session utilises a coaching model to identify areas of self-care, and encourages you to develop a personal wellbeing plan to revitalise your energy levels.
Bringing body and mind together, this event is co-facilitated by an experienced yoga & mindfulness teacher and qualified NHS dietitian. Introducing yoga principles to understand the impact on the body of stress, fear and trauma, we will engage with gentle yoga postures, mindfulness and breathing practices to refresh your spirit. The day concludes with yoga nidra, to benefit restorative sleep patterns, which is indicated in the development of resilience.
Working in a small group of less than eight, all you will need is comfy clothing, a mat and a blanket. No previous yoga experience required!
