About the Event

In this session, we describe burnout, compassion fatigue and vicarious trauma within the workplace.  We will identify early warning signs and teach self-coaching principles to help delegates to take ownership of self-care, enhance wellbeing and attend to personal growth, in themselves and others.

The teaching style combines didactic teaching, guided self-reflection and directed experiential learning.

This innovative workshop integrates yogic principles, and is co-hosted by Jane Cullingford, an experienced yogi, mindfulness practitioner and qualified NHS dietician. Jane offers guided yoga practice, mindfulness and yogic philosophy to facilitate understanding of the somatic impact of occupational stress.  The day will conclude with yoga nidra, to benefit restorative sleep patterns.

Combining education, coaching and yogic principles, the workshop facilitates emotion regulation strategies which is key to the development of emotional intelligence, and self-management.

Delegates will leave this day feeling educated about the theory of compassion fatigue, vicarious trauma and burnout. They will engage in experiential learning to develop self-awareness about the impact of occupational stress and develop strategies for restoration, to support themselves and others.
